Abilgail Savage, Counselor-in-Training
Abigail works with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, difficult emotions, and patterns that can be frustratingly hard to change. She understands how discouraging it can feel to keep trying, making plans, or pushing yourself forward only to find yourself back in a familiar place.
Warm, relational, and encouraging, Abigail helps clients feel understood while exploring what may be keeping them stuck, reconnecting with their strengths, and finding ways forward that feel more sustainable and true to who they are.
Abigail is available on a self-pay basis, with sliding-scale rates when needed.
Abigail recognizes that people come to therapy at different ages, in different circumstances, and with different ways of making sense of what they are experiencing. Her work reflects that range. Rather than expecting every client to respond to the same kind of conversation or approach, she draws from different ways of helping people explore, express, understand, and work with what is happening in their lives.

About Abigail’s Work:
Sometimes the hardest part of feeling stuck is knowing how much effort you have already made.
You may have tried changing your habits, thinking differently, making a better plan, or simply pushing yourself harder. When the same feelings or patterns keep returning, it can become easy to wonder why something that seems as though it should be manageable continues to feel so difficult.
Abigail approaches those moments with curiosity rather than judgment. She believes therapy can offer a different kind of space: one where you do not have to arrive with everything figured out, and where difficult emotions and experiences can be understood rather than simply overcome.
Working with children, teens, and adults, Abigail supports clients through anxiety, grief, life transitions, emotional challenges, and patterns that may be interfering with the way they want to live. Her approach is warm and relational, with particular attention to helping clients feel safe, seen, and valued as they explore what has shaped their experiences.
Abigail draws from a range of therapeutic approaches, allowing the work to respond to the person rather than asking the person to fit a single method. Depending on the needs of the client, therapy may include cognitive, narrative, expressive, attachment-based, somatic, solution-focused, and trauma-focused perspectives.
Throughout the process, Abigail helps clients notice not only what has been difficult, but also the strengths, stories, and possibilities that may be easier to see with someone alongside them. Her goal is not to push clients toward a predetermined version of who they should become, but to help them move toward greater freedom, self-compassion, and confidence in the life they are building.
