In this role, you will work as an independent contractor, providing therapy sessions to clients on a regular basis. You will have the flexibility to create your own schedule and manage your caseload, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to determine clients’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to clients, utilizing various modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques
- Collaborate with clients to set treatment goals and regularly evaluate progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions and treatment plans
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals involved in clients’ treatment, such as psychiatrists or social workers
- Stay up-to-date with current research and practices in the field of mental health therapy
Qualifications:
- Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Active state licensure as a mental health therapist (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience providing therapy services to individuals, couples, and/or families
Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and ability to apply them effectively - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and create a safe therapeutic environment
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about best practices in mental health therapy
